Chemistry Reagent Sodium Isobutyl Xanthate for Mining Fltation Agent
Mechanism of action
Semi-micelle adsorption. When the concentration of the collector is high enough, the non-polar groups of the long hydrocarbon chain collector are adsorbed on the surface of the mineral and associate to form a two-dimensional micelle. This adsorption is called "semimicelle adsorption". For example, when using dodecyl acetate amine flotation quartz, as the concentration of dodecylamine increases, the adsorption of dodecylamine ions increases, forming semimicelles on the surface of the mineral.

SIBX xanthate is a kind of collector, which is suitable for copper, lead, zinc and nickel sulfide ores. It has strong collecting ability for precious metal sulfide ores. It is also suitable for flotation of copper and lead ores, including partial oxidation. It can also be used as rubber vulcanization accelerator for hydrometallurgical precipitation.
