Product Description
SIBX xanthate serves as a powerful collector for copper, lead, zinc, and nickel sulfide ores. It demonstrates exceptional collecting ability for precious metal sulfide ores and can also be applied to copper and lead ores containing partial oxidation. Additionally, it functions as a precipitation agent in hydrometallurgy and as a rubber vulcanization accelerator.
Mechanism of Action
The collector operates through adsorption of molecules or ions at the mineral-water interface. Primary adsorption methods include:

  • Semi-micelle adsorption
  • Adsorption of reaction products on mineral surfaces
Ion adsorption involves collector ions in slurry adsorbing onto mineral surfaces, such as xanthate on galena surfaces at pH>5, and oleic acid collectors on calcium-containing minerals including fluorite, calcite, and scheelite ore.
