Product Overview
SIBX xanthate serves as a powerful collector for copper, lead, zinc, nickel, and precious metal sulfide ores. Effective for partially oxidized copper and lead ore flotation, and also functions as a precipitation agent in hydrometallurgy and rubber vulcanization accelerator.
Mechanism of Action
Collector action occurs through adsorption at the mineral-water interface, including molecular adsorption, ion adsorption, semi-micellar adsorption, and adsorption of reaction products on mineral surfaces.
Ion adsorption example: Xanthate adsorption on galena surface at pH > 5, and oleic acid collector adsorption on calcium-containing minerals (fluorite, calcite, scheelite).
