Potassium Amyl Xanthate With 90% Purity Effectively Recovers Gold-bearing Sulfide Minerals

Potassium amyl xanthate (PAX) with 90% purity is a strong collector that effectively recovers gold-bearing sulfide minerals. It is mainly used in the flotation of non-ferrous metal minerals that require strong collecting power without high selectivity. PAX performs well in the flotation of oxidized sulfide ores and oxidized copper or lead ores (after sulfidization with sodium sulfide or sodium hydrosulfide). It also achieves good separation in the flotation of copper-nickel sulfide ore and gold-bearing pyrite.

• Copper-Sulfur Ore Flotation: Used as a common collector for chalcopyrite, PAX helps maximize copper recovery in both differential and bulk flotation circuits.
• Gold-Bearing Pyrite Flotation: PAX is a preferred collector for the bulk flotation of sulfides—often performed prior to cyanidation or oxidative pretreatment—effectively recovering gold-bearing sulfide minerals.
• Sulfidization-Flotation of Oxidized Copper/Lead Ores: Following treatment with sodium sulfide, PAX can be used to float oxidized copper ores (e.g., chrysocolla, which may require the addition of a chelating collector) and oxidized lead ores (e.g., cerussite).
• Copper-Nickel Sulfide Flotation: Highly effective for the recovery of copper-nickel sulfide ores, as well as sulfide ores containing platinum-group elements.
